Berkeley IEOR and IISE Presents the Wells Fargo ~ Berkeley BADSS 2025 Case Competition!

The University of California, Berkeley welcomes ALL BAY AREA STUDENTS to join the Bay Area Decision Sciences Summit hosted by the Industrial Engineering & Operations Research Department and the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) at UC Berkeley. Teams of interdisciplinary students will derive insights from a real-world data set and present findings to WELLS FARGO industry professionals & IEOR professors. Workshops will introduce several common data science tools to help students learn technical skills and perfect their models for the Wells Fargo Case. Food and drinks will be provided on the event day.

Eligibility: Our program is open to all students, including non-Berkeley students and students of all majors and disciplines—everyone is welcome to participate! Teams should consist of 3-4 members, with at least one team member being a sophomore or above.

Don’t have a complete team? No problem! Simply fill out the registration form, and we’ll pair you with other participants to help you build a full team. Join us for a collaborative and inclusive experience!

NOTE: Registration begins Friday, January 24th, and closes Wednesday, February 12th at 11:59 PM. The asynchronous part of the case begins on Friday, February 14th, when each team will receive the prompt and data. On March 1st, from 9 AM to 5 PM, teams will be provided with test data and will have workshops & work hours to perfect their models before presenting.
